Wedding Wednesday: The Engagement Party

Engagement Tea Party – Saturday 19th September 2015 Last Saturday we held our engagement party at our house, we spent the day with around ...

A Product Rave.

Imagine a literal product rave, lots of make up products all dancing and getting sweaty and taking drugs and covering themselves in neon paint inside an old warehouse...

Anyway on to the 'rave', Boots Tea Tree + Witch Hazel Shine Control Day Moisturiser

For some reason my skin has become more oily of late and this has resulted in break outs galore, so when I was browsing the shelves in Boots a couple of weeks ago I picked this moisturiser up. I wanted something that would help clear my spots up and also get rid of the excess oil so this looked like a good bet, I wouldn't normally have looked at this range but I'm glad I did! It is honestly the best moisturiser I've ever used.
  •  It leaves skin feeling matte which makes it great for use in the mornings as it kind of acts like a primer too.
  • This effect lasts a long time too, if I don't put any foundation on top of it my skin is left feeling matte for a good few hours.
  • The moisturiser also leaves my skin feeling soft all day
  •  i believe it has helped to get rid of my spots too!
  • It doesn't just sit on top of the skin like many other moisturisers, it sinks in almost instantly
  • It is scented like tea tree oil which some might find unpleasant but I quite like the smell, it's quite invigorating at 7 in the morning when I'm applying my make up.
  • It only costs £3.56 too, bargain.
  • & there are a range of other products in the range too.
I can see myself using this moisturiser for a long time to come, it does exactly what it says it will and for a bargain price too!

I was in Boots earlier today and saw that the range was on '2 for £5' so I picked up the Night Treatment Gel and the Peel-off Mask which I'm going to give a go tonight :) Hopefully they'll be just as good!

So, If you have oily/combination skin and are looking for a new moisturiser I'd definitely pop into Boots and give this a go.

Has anyone else tried it? I'd love to hear if it works for everybody

  1. I've tried this! Must admit it's a pretty good moisturiser and you've got to love the price as well! But as I'm going to hit the big 25 this year, I've decided to invest in some anti ageing moisturisers, I'm getting old. :( xx

  2. I had the whole set at one point, the face wash, correction stick, the peel off mask, this moisturizer and the night gel and I genuinely loved them all. I didn't rebuy because I was having skin problems and this wasn't helping enough for my liking, but it's something I would definitely consider in the future now that I've gotten over my bad-skin phase! :)
