Lush Pow Wow Lip Scrub

Lush Pow Wow Lip Scrub 2
Price: £4.75* for 20g

First things first, you need to go to Lush and smell this product. It is quite possibly the nicest smelling thing that my nose has ever sniffed. It smells just like Lime Starburst (it was Helen that pointed this out!) though my nan thinks it smells like Chocolate Limes. Basically it smells like lime sweets. What more could you want from a lip scrub??

I have been a fan of Lush Lip Scrubs for a while now and this has just made it to the top of the Lip Scrub hierarchy. This is for a number of reasons:
1. The smell.
2. It has popping candy in.
3. You can eat it.
4. It makes your lips lovely and smooth and
5. It’s bright green.

Pow Wow is packed full of beneficial ingredients too, it has Argan oil, jojoba oil and rosehip oil to soften and soothe dry, sore lips. There is ginseng root powder and caffeine powder to fill you with energy and there is also goji berry powder to add a bit of nutritional value too! The main ingredient is the popping candy though – such a good idea! It is this that really lifts the product and makes it perfect for this time of year.

To use Lush’s lip scrubs I like to apply a layer of Vaseline to my lips first (to protect them a little) and then smear a finger full of scrub all over my lips making sure to massage it in well and properly exfoliate them. Then I just lick it off! This is the fun bit!

The only problem that I have with the product is that it’s a little bit liquidy? I’m not sure if they’re all like this or if it’s just my one. But you can see from the image that there is a lot of liquid in the pot and this does not make it easy to apply. I think I’ll try and pour the excess oils out so that the scrub works better!

Have you tried Lush’s Lip Scrubs?

*I received this in my goody bag from the London Christmas Blogger Meet so I did not pay for it.

  1. That looks amazing! An EDIBLE lip scrub?! Wow xx

  2. Hmmm..looks really liquidy as you said :/ I think all of the christmas lip scrubs are...a fail. I had the last year's one and it was too hard huh :S

  3. I really, really like this idea - I'm gonna get some, thanks for the tip! xxx

  4. I really want to try this! I went in and had a sniff of this today, it was so nice! I can't decide whether to buy this one or repurchase Mint Julips..x

  5. I was sent this, it looks disgusting but tastes so yum :D Great review.

  6. I need to get in the car and make the hour drive to Lush. I've been meaning to do so for quite some time. I LOVE their products and I really, really want to try this stuff.

    Also, I love your blog :)

  10. woooow!! This stuff looks crazy! :)

  11. I loved it APART from the fact is smelt like lime starbursts! I'm weird and hate lime (except in a cosmopolitan) but it does make your lips so soft :) xx

  12. @Harrie - Yep it is amazing!

    @Passing Fancy - Yeah, I'm not impressed with the quality really!

    @Anna - It tastes amazing!

    @RubesScoobs - I have Mint Julips too and it's a much better exfoliator but this one smells nicer!

    @Lucy - It does taste really nice!

    @Mabel - I love Lush too!

    @G A B Y - I drained the liquid out of mine and it improved it a bit!

    @Vintage - It smells amazing!

    @Miley - That's such a shame! I love Lush!

    @Helen - I love the colour of it! So bright!

    @Faye - Gosh! I love the smell of lime!

  13. i got this in my stocking for xmas and i love it! mine is definitely not that watery at all - in fact just the opposite. that's the deal with handmade stuff i guess. if you can i'd go into a store and open a few to find a good one ;D
