Wreck This Journal.

I received this book for Christmas this year and I am so glad that I have finally got it, it’s been on my wishlist for ages now. If you haven’t heard of the book before, it is written/created by Keri Smith and is a journal with the sole purpose of being destroyed, it’s a journal for those people that have always wanted to keep a diary or sketchbook but continually fail, it’s a journal for those people that like to ‘colour outside of the lines’. The book is filled with pages which have prompts for the reader, an example of this is seen in the picture above. The book isn’t meant to be completed in any particular order or timeframe just whenever the reader fancies. The book’s tagline ‘To Create is to Destroy’ is the perfect summary of the journal, the pages are full of destructive acts that are meant to encourage the reader to get truly creative.
I think that I will show you my progress with the journal once I get started with it properly, it looks like it’s going to be a fun project!
Have you completed ‘Wreck This Journal’?

  10. I've been looking at these for a while but there's something about them that makes the idea of buying it for myself seem weird. I think I'm going to compromise by buying my friend one for her birthday this year. I look forward to seeing your progress!
