Bourjois Little Round Pot LIGHT Eye Shadow

Whilst I was shopping with my best friend a couple of weeks ago we spied these beauties nestled amongst the ‘little round pots’ on the Bourjois stand in Boots, what first caught my eye was the holographic text on the front of the pot (magpie…) and then after reading that they were in fact special reflective highlighting shadows I was sold.
They contain mother of pearl pigments and are highly pigmented, they claim to be 2 times as luminous as a classic Bourjois eye shadow. They are very reflective and catch the light beautifully, the mother of pearl in them gives a lovely iridescence and kind of makes them glow almost.
Bourjois suggest that these can be used in a number of different ways:
  • Applied all over the lid for a subtle shimmery look
  • Layered over other eyeshadows to add some shimmer
  • Applied with a wet brush to bring out the pearl effect more
I’ve mostly been using mine for inner corner highlights and on the brow bone, but I have used them all over the lid and they look lovely when they catch the light. I also used the white one as a cheekbone highlight but they are a little glittery for this, maybe for night time only! Unless you like glitter!
There are 3 shades:
01 – A shimmery golden white
02 – A frosted sky blue
03 – A powdery greyish pink
They cost £6.99 each and are available from Boots and Superdrug. They’re on 3 for 2 in Boots at the momento too.

My swatches aren’t great really, they don’t show the true beauty of these shadows! I’ve done a few make up looks with them that will hopefully show them better. I’ll be posting those over the next few weeks I think.
Have you checked these out yet?
