Holo Glitter Polish for 33p?

I picked these sets up in the 99p shop when I was shopping for my Valentines gift, as I couldn’t resist the glitteriness, especially for only 99p! They probably have a bad formula but generally glitter polishes are difficult to work with anyway so I thought, why not?
I’ve swatched them over a dark polish so you can see their true potential! The formula is very liquidy so it’s a little hard to get a good coating of glitter without getting too much clear nail varnish on your nails. Maybe I could try and pour some of the base out?
They dry pretty quickly considering the super thick and gloopy formula, and I suppose as a topcoat some of the shades aren’t too bad. The best ones in my opinion are the turquoise, the multi pink and the cloudy looking one as these seem to distribute the glitter more evenly than the others. Not bad for 33p each!
At least they’ll look pretty on my nail varnish shelves!

This is one of the best of the bunch, it has smaller glitter as well as the large hexagonal pieces. This gives a lovely multi-dimensional look to the nail, almost galactic. The large glitter is also holographic. Win.

In the bottle, this is one of the prettiest polishes. On the nail, not so much. The glitter doesn’t spread evenly leaving a lot of empty space on the nail, it is holo glitter though which does win it some brownie points!

Another disappointing one, the base of this polish is a sheer black colour meaning the pieces of striped black glitter get lost. If the base was a silver or something this could be amazing! I’ve never seen stripy black glitter before.

This is one of the best polishes, it spread evenly over the nail, I think this is because the glitter is smaller than in the other polishes. Loving the random silver hex pieces too – a nod to the OPI Muppets polishes?

I love this one, it has teeny tiny glitter in the base which is surrounded by the larger hex pieces. I love the shades in this one, pinks mixed in with the holo glitter is amazing! Also how cool would it be to get one of the little stars on your nails!

This one isn’t bad either, pretty even glitter distribution. This might be good layered over a red glitter polish for a little bit of added depth.
So, I would recommend a few of the shades but some of them are a bit of a waste. Definitely have a look in your 99p shop though as what else can you do with a pound nowadays?
What do you think?
