I had the best weekend that I’ve had for a very long time this weekend! I went up to Preston (I went to uni there) to reconvene with le best friend, Vicki, and get rather drunk! We do aim to reunite at least once a month but I hadn’t seen her since my birthday in November, so it was a well overdue drinking sesh. We also decided to buy the whole of Boots/Topman/Superdrug while we were there and I’m now scared to look at the bank balance even though I only got paid last week!

We had a great night out too which might have involved 19 year old army boys, drinking a whole bottle of vodka and about 10 shots of Sambuca, dancing like idiots, feeling old because everyone was 18, making friends with drug dealers in the pub and garlic bread with cheese. Maybe.

Pretty sure we’re the messiest hotel guests ever. Feel so sorry for the poor cleaners, although not sorry enough to be more tidy!

Also the weekend reaffirmed my theory that snow hates me. The picture above is of the only snow that I could find in Preston. Yet at home it was like the arctic had come to visit! Snow is my favourite weather, and it seems to avoid me wherever I go, that year when it snowed loads (2010?) and I was still in Preston it snowed enough for people to be snowed in at home whereas in Preston – not a drop (flake?). Until I was leaving to go home for Christmas when there was a blizzard just as we were getting on the motorway. I’m not a fan of snow when it’s already on the floor though. I’m clumsy so tend to fall over without a big slippery mess all over the floor, walking to work was horrendous this morning!

Anyway, back to the post! I also met up with the lovely Dani yesterday! She is bloody lovely and we went and sat in Starbucks for about 4 hours! We only bought one drink though – pretty sure they thought we’d moved in! We chatted about everything, including vomiting! Classy ladies. We definitely need to go the Sandcastle outing!

How was your weekend?

[also pretty sure my teeth aren’t really that yellow!]

  7. Your jewellery is so cute - where's it all from (besides the obvious Topshop ring)?! And the obscure mix of music agrees with my tastes greatly!

I can sympathise with the feeling old - as I still work at my Students' Union, a lot of my friends are still students and when I head out with my old society, it's full of 18 year old freshers. I like to think I'm young enough at heart to get away with it though!

I'm also the same with hotel room messiness - I went to London with one of my best friends, and the room in the guesthouse we stayed in (the woman insisted it was a guesthouse quite grumpily when I called it a hotel) for just one night looked like a bomb had hit it when we woke up hungover the next day!

    1. Thanks for the lovely comment Milly!

It's all from Topman! And was all only £1 each!

My music collection is very varied lol, my best friend bought me the Daniel Bedingfield album at the weekend! Love it!

I guess i'm just old and grumpy then! I can't stand the youngsters lol, they get in the way of the dancing!

It's always the way with messiness, wake up hungover and then have to do a super quick tidy up/hide all mess under the bed!
