L’Occitane Shea Butter Collection–Ultra Gentle Moisturiser

LOccitane Ultra Gentle Moisturiser 8 percent Shea Butter

L’Occitane Ultra Gentle Moisturiser - £24*
This moisturiser is also from the Shea Butter Skincare collection that I mentioned last week (here), and was kindly sent to me for review. This moisturiser is formulated with 8% Shea butter so is targeted towards people with normal or dry skin, it’s also perfect for sensitive skin types.
This moisturiser is much lighter than the Ultra Rich moisturiser that L’Occitane also have in the range, it is hypo-allergenic and fragrance free too. The product does have a scent though, it smells warm and a little sweet, but it doesn’t linger and it’s not strong at all.
The moisturiser sinks into the skin quickly and leaves a smooth even finish to the skin that is the perfect base for make-up, it revitalises any dry patches and doesn’t add to any oiliness. The ultra gentle formula soothes dryness and any reactions to climatic change that might appear on the skin with ease, the light formula does not feel too heavy on the skin either.
The moisturiser contains liquorice extract and alpha bisabolol extracted from candeia oil, which are ingredients that soothe the skin and give it extra gentle care. Meaning that the skin’s natural defences are boosted, leaving the skin stronger and more resilient.
I’ve been using the moisturiser most mornings under my make-up and I have not broken out once, with my oily skin I am always weary to try new moisturisers as I am prone to breakouts. But this has left my skin feeling lovely, and looking better too.
The packaging is really lovely, it’s a glass bottle that has nice weight to it (makes it feel expensive) and it also has a pump dispenser so you don’t use too much product, brilliant. I also like the simple navy text on the bottle, it looks classy; and I think this would make a great gift because of this.
I would definitely recommend this product to anyone with normal/combination skin.
Have you tried any skincare from L’Occitane?

*I was sent this product to review, as always all opinions are my own.
