February Favourites

February-Favourites
[Make Up]
Bourjois Light Eye Shadow - 03
I did a post about these eye shadows here. This is the shade I’ve been using most though, it’s the pink/purple shade and is lovely worn all over the lid for a nice shimmery wide awake look.
Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation – Light Vanilla
This foundation featured in last months favourites too, a repeat offender! But I still love this foundation it applies nicely, lasts a good time and smells nice. The only fault I have is that it’s too yellow for my skin tone but I make it work (hope I do anyway!).
MAC Cream Colour Base – Virgin Isle
I bought this from a blog sale and it’s possibly my most favourite make up purchase of the year so far. I use it on my cheeks for a lovely orangey/coral glow that makes my skin look alive. I also use it on my lips as a tint – it lasts ages on the lips too. The formula is lovely, nice and creamy but it sets too so staying power is great.
Barbara Daly Concealer
Again, this featured in last months favourites so I’ll keep this short and sweet. Great coverage and a lovely creamy texture, perfect for under the eyes or on blemishes.
Benefit High Beam
I’ve been using this highlighter most days along the tops of my cheekbones and on my cupid’s bow. It adds a lovely pink toned pearlescent highlight that is beautiful when it catches the light. I love the formula of this too, it blends so easily but doesn’t disappear in the process!
[Tools]
Cosmopolitan Beauty Blending Sponge
Another repeat offender, this is perfect for applying the Healthy Mix foundation, it gives a light coverage that can be built up – perfect. I think mine’s on it’s way out though as I can’t get the foundation stains out of it no matter how many times I wash it!
Eco Tools Brushes
I have pretty much only used Eco Tools eye brushes this month, they are amazing quality and the shape of the large eye brush (above) is perfect for blending the crease, it’s also flat so is great for packing on colour. I really need to invest in some more of the Eco Tools face brushes as the blusher brush is amazing!
[Skincare]
L’Occitane Ultra Gentle Moisturiser
I’ve been using this as a night cream as it soothes the skin without being too thick, I have oily spot prone skin so I don’t like to cover it with anything too thick. When I wake up in the mornings I don’t need to moisturise again as this does such a good job!
L’Occitane 100% Shea Butter
This has been my favourite lip balm of the month, I use it every single morning and it smoothes out any dry patches on my lips whilst being an excellent base for lip stick.
[Hair]
Frizz-Ease Thermal Protection Serum
When I forget to use this before blow drying, my hair turns into  a giant frizzy mess. Enough said. It contains a heat protectant too so is multi-purpose and means you don’t have to weigh down your hair!
Shielo Leave – in Protectant – Antioxidant UV Protection for Styling
First off, this smells amazing – like coconut (reminds me of holidays), and since I started using it my hair has been in amazing condition. It leaves hair looking shiny and smelling great – I’m pretty sure it’s what has been keeping my hair colour looking so vibrant too. I will be reviewing this product in full at some point.
[Body]
The Body Shop Brazil Nut Body Butter
This smells amazing, it’s my favourite scent from The Body Shop but isn’t available year round! I always stock up in the sales when you can get it for a fiver! As always the body butter leaves my skin feeling smooth and hydrated and the scent lingers for hours.
[Nails]
OPI – Jade is the New Black
I love green nail polish and this is such a lovely jade shade that really makes your nails pop when you’re wearing it. I couldn’t stop staring at them whilst I had this on!
Seche Vite Topcoat
Believe the hype girls, this stuff is amazing. Never have I seen my nails look so glossy for so long, it dries almost instantly too! It’s a little bit pricey but if you’re willing to splurge you won’t regret it!

  10. Ecotools are by far the BEST brushes I've ever tried, they are amazing quality for drugstore brushes. I have the Shielo Leave-in and to me it smelled of banana LOL but I went to sniff it after reading your post and I agree, it smells of coconut a bit too ahah!
