Wedding Wednesday: The Engagement Party

Engagement Tea Party – Saturday 19th September 2015 Last Saturday we held our engagement party at our house, we spent the day with around ...

MAX FACTOR|Max Effect Mini Nail Polish–45–Fantasy Fire

This little beauty has caused quite a stir in the nail community, as it is allegedly a dupe of the much sought after Clarins 230 polish which has now been discontinued. The polish has a sheer purple jelly base to it and contains shimmer and micro glitter that shows copper, green, pink and yellow tones that give a holographic effect when this polish hits the light. It’s a beaut. I’ve found that it’s much too sheer to wear alone, you’d need about 10 coats, but it looks lovely over a dark polish.

  1. oh wow! reminds me of the sally hansen varnishes back in the day!

Oh and btw what's that font you used? xo

  2. ohhh that looks gorgeous :]xxx

  3. It is a very unusual colour. I quite like it x

  4. Wow! It looks so innocent in the bottle but the swatch pictures are amazing! x

  5. I think I may have to get this as it looks amazing!
    : ]

  6. Cool, reminds me of the Accesssorize's Aztec. Really pretty! It's the kind of varnish that you can't stop staring at when you're wearing it.

  7. I really like that, especially over the green polish. It reminds me a bit of the Essie effects polish, and another one that I can't remember the name of! Like that one they need about 50 coats on their own to be any good but over the top of polishes, they're gorgeous.
I'm going to Costas in a minute that's across the road from Boots, I might have to pop in and see if they have it!

  8. Why have I not even heard of this??!
It looks gorgeous. I think I'll hunt it down to add to my collection ;D xx
