WAM, Bam, Thank You Ma’am

This spring/summer the way we style our hair has had a makeover, gone are the days where endless blow-drying, straightening and curling is required to look chic; this summer we’ve become lazy. The Lazy Blow Dry is Windle & Moodie’s new technique for achieving those sexy blow dried waves and curls in minutes rather than hours because honestly who has the time nowadays? This new way of styling creates salon perfect hair in half the time of a standard blow dry and the results will last longer too!

Using the WAM Revolving Iron instead of using a hairdryer and barrel brush to create the waves is where the magic happens, the size 31 styler is perfect for creating large waves and curls and also for adding extra volume at the roots. The styler is also excellent at smoothing the hair whilst making it shiny and glossy – it makes your hair feel amazing! What’s so special about the Revolving Iron? Well the tong part revolves so you don’t have to twirl it around yourself – it basically does the work for you. The styler can also reach a temperature of 210°C in seconds and this is shown by the heat safety band at the top – when it turns white the styler is ready to go! This is a great feature that allows the user to know when the iron is hot so as not to touch the barrel.

I had the opportunity to try out the new technique when I went along to the Windle & Moodie salon in Covent Garden a couple of weeks ago; top catwalk stylist Neil Moodie gave us a tutorial on how to use the styler and then we were let loose to have a go ourselves! At first I found it hard to grasp the new technique as I was used to using a traditional curling iron but with a little practise I was producing lovely bouncy curls that were full of volume. Since then I have been lazy blow drying my hair every time I’ve washed it – which is really saying something as I hardly ever styled it before, let alone blow dried it! I can see it becoming my go-to style for the spring and summer.

The video below shows how to use the styler to create the lazy blow dry:

And here is the look that I achieved with it, I received so many compliments when I had my hair like this the other day – it’s definitely a winner!
