Not a huge selection this month but all of the essentials are still the same, still loving the Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation, Collection 2000 concealer, Rimmel Stay Matte Powder and the Topshop Crème Blushes.
By Terry Eye Shadow – Pearly Rye
I won this eye shadow in Laura Lou’s Giveaway last month, and it has been my go-to shadow of late, it’s such a lovely neutral shade with a hint of shimmer that is perfect for wearing to work. The texture is lovely to apply to, it gives a nice even colour across the lid and blends perfectly.
Sleek Luminaire Concealer – Shade L01
I’ve had this lurking in my foundation box for ages now and it’s been hardly used (despite it’s appearance!) it’s a really light pink toned concealer which is excellent for brightening up the under-eyes. It doesn’t offer much coverage but is perfect for me as I luckily don’t suffer too badly with dark circles. I love that it is such a pale shade as I often struggle to find concealers that are light enough for me, and let alone ones that are light enough to add a highlighted effect!
Make Up For Ever – Smoky Lash
I also won this mascara back in February (I think?) in another Laura’s giveaway! Since I received it I’ve used this mascara much more than any of my others and I can see why it’s the favourite of many a beauty blogger. It makes my short lashes look amazing, it adds volume, length and it holds a curl really well. It doesn’t dry to be crispy either and is quite easy to remove. I’m dreading running out of this to be honest as it’s quite pricey!
Diesel Loverdose
This perfume smells like liquorice. That is all.
Carmex
My lip balm of choice. It moisturises my lips brilliantly and makes an excellent base for lipstick. I apply this first in the mornings and by the time I’ve finished the rest of my make-up my lips are ready to be lipsticked. I like the original flavour best but I think it comes in cherry and strawberry flavour too.
NARS Pro-Prime Face Primer
I also got this teeny-tiny sample of primer in Laura Lou’s giveaway and I’ve been using it every day for the past couple of weeks, it keeps my foundation in place for most of the day and makes an excellent base for make-up. You only need the tiniest amount to do your whole face too, and it doesn’t make it feel tight or siliconey like some primers do – this is more of a moisturiser consistency too. Not sure that I’d buy the full size though as it’s about £25 and although I’m enjoying the sample a primer is not something I deem essential in my face routine.
Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick – Cherries in the Snow
This is the lipstick dreams are made of my friends, a gorgeous pink-toned raspberry red swoon. The formula is amazing, it applies opaquely with a subtle sheen that wears away to leave a gorgeous even colour on the lips. The staying power is great, it lasted a good five hours on me without needing to be touched up and even survived eating, drinking and pen chewing. I would definitely recommend this lipstick, I think I shall be wearing it out on Friday night too!
Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate
Another of the samples I received in Laura Lou’s giveaway, I have been eking out the 2ml samples of this for the last couple of weeks and my skin has been reacting so well to this product, it’s been looking really even-toned and bright when I wake up in the mornings and this has meant that I’ve been able to go to work wearing hardly any foundation – bonus! I will definitely be repurchasing the full-size of this when my samples run out – it’s pricey but I think it’s worth it for the way my skin reacts to it!
What have you been loving this month?
