Quick Tip: HAIR GRIP STORAGE ON THE GO

If you’re anything like me you’ll be constantly buying hair grips/bobby pins/Kirby grips/whatever you want to call them as they tend to get lost pretty easily, I have had about 400 floating around at the bottom of my work bag as I’m always taking them out of my hair and just chucking them in there. My nan has a vase in the living room that’s full of them too, as she’s always picking them up off the floor. The other day I had a brainwave, when I finished eating some Tic Tics I discovered that the little plastic container was the perfect size to store my hair grips in and to pop in my handbag for any hair gripping emergencies. You can probably fit about 20 hair grips in it and the handy opening makes it easy to slide them out when you need to.

Here’s how to do it (I’m sure you can work out how I did it to be fair):
1. Eat your Tic Tacs (I highly recommend the Strawberry Fields flavour, they are amazing!)
2. Collect up any hair grips from the bottom of your bag
3. Peel off the sticky label from the Tic Tac packet.
4. Remove the lid and pop your hair grips inside.
5. Tape the lid back on (You don’t have to do this but the lid didn’t feel very secure once the label had been peeled off)
6. Decorate your new hairgrip holder (or leave it plain!)

No more loose hair grips in the bottom of your bag! And you’ll always have some for those bad hair days now. You could also wrap a hair bobble or two around the packet too so you have all your hair essentials in one place.

  8. Ha! i've done this before!weird eh?! Although it was regular flavour... the other thing I like to do is use cigar packages for tampons. so much nicer than loose tampons in your bag, but you have to know someone who sells/smokes fat cigars!! ha. I once completely ruined a washing machine because I left three hairgrips in my skirt pocket. whoopsie!

  16. This has blown my mind! Whenever I'm going anywhere and need to take hairgrips I just tuck them into a pocket in my bag and they always fall out, get stuck into my clothes and generally cause chaos.
