I apologise for the grumpy facial expression but this picture was snapped quickly at 8:15 the other morning and 8:15am is not a particularly joyous time is it? I wore this make-up to go on a day trip to a farmers market and to be fair it was a bit over the top – everyone else was a farmer (obvs) and so I’m sure I stuck out like a sore thumb, never mind. I really like the girliness of this make-up, I don’t tend to wear pink lipstick much nowadays and I’d forgotten how much I like it!

This was the first time that I’d used the lip stain and I was impressed, it lasted the whole day and even though it’s not the colour I thought it would be (it looks like a lovely deep raspberry/plum shade in the bullet/pencil) I love it! I never wear glossy lips as I adore the staying power of matte shades but with this the gloss was not a problem as the stain was so good. I will be doing a full review of the Kissable Balm Stain at some point with some more pictures so look out for that.

The eyeliner was a last minute addition to the look as on the day my eyes were streaming when I woke up (welcome back, hay fever!), but they’d stopped just before I left the house so I thought I’d give this a whirl. I love it. Purple eye products are some of my favourite to wear as I like to think they bring the green out in my eyes, did it work? This one is specially formulated for sensitive eyes too so I thought it’d be alright on my irritated ones as well. I haven’t worn liner on the lower lash line for ages and thought I’d stick a bit under there to jazz it up a bit, I really love the shade of purple this is – nice and bright in the light but from a distance I’m sure it just adds a bit of definition that looks black. I’ve got some more of the NATorigin liners that I’m testing out so expect to hear some more about them soon too!

What’s everyone doing this weekend? I’m off to London tomorrow to do some sightseeing which will be fun (and tiring) I’m sure. And on Sunday I need to list about 7,000 things on eBay as I seem to have spent all my wages in 10 days – well done Amy!

Have you tried the Revlon Kissable Balm Stains?

Are you a fan of a ‘pop of colour’ on the lower lashes?

  1. I love the purple, I've never tried any coloured eyeliner as I think it looks odd on me, but the way you've used it just on the bottom looks awesome. x
