L’Oreal Elvive Extraordinary Oil – All Hair Types - £9.99*

This product is amazing! I’ve used it every time that I’ve washed my hair since I got it about a month ago, I would not be without it now.

The L’Oreal Paris Extraordinary Oil is enriched with six different floral extracts that are used to nourish and protect your hair, they are:

- Chamomile oil to boost shine

- Dog Daisy oil to boost and protect vibrancy

- Linseed oil to nourish

- Lotus oil to nourish and protect

- Rose oil to add moisture

- Tiare oil to protect dry hair

So, basically the oil is intended to nourish, protect and add shine/vibrancy to your hair – everything I look for in a hair product. You can use the product in a number of different ways; before shampoo, before drying, before styling and as a finishing touch. You can also use it as a treatment to really nourish your hair, this can either be done overnight or as a weekly deep conditioning type thing. I do it overnight and just leave the product in my hair in the morning, it’s always so smooth when I wake up!

I’ve found that by using this product the ends of my hair (that really need cutting!) feel hydrated and smooth, and any spilt ends are much less noticeable. The whole of my hair feels soft and silky and not at all weighed down, this makes it really easy to brush through and style as I wanted. The product is not heavy at all and my hair style retains it’s curly/wavy nature when I’ve been using it, it also has the bonus of frizz-fighting! Normally my hair is a frizzy mess if I go to sleep with it wet but when using this oil it looks good-to-go in the mornings. Being an oil there’s always the worry that it will leave your hair looking greasy, but that’s not an issue here – you only need 2 pumps for the whole of your head (I have a lot of hair) and the result is lovely glossy, vibrant hair. The oil also smells amazing! And the smell lingers on your hair for a long time after application, great for sticking in second-day hair to freshen it up a little.

It really is a brilliant product, I’d definitely recommend it if you’re looking for something to give your hair a bit of a boost. There is also a version of the oil for colour-treated hair, my hair is dyed and I’ve just been using the ‘All Hair Types’ one, once it’s all gone though I’ll give the colour version a whirl to see if there’s a difference.

Are you a fan of hair oils?

Will you be giving this one a go?

  4. I've been so tempted by this but it's a little too expensive for me to justify when I have 100001 hair oils already!

  5. The only hair oils I've tried are Moroccan Oil which was lovely but a bit too heavy for my finer hair and Macadamia (review on my blog) which was ok but not amazing. After seeing your review I think I will have to pick this up! x
