Boots Botanics Rosewater Toning Spritz – 100% organic - £4.99

Organic skincare and make-up is something that I’m becoming more and more interested in nowadays, must be my age? But when I saw that this product from the Botanics range at Boots was 100% organic I was intrigued. The toner is completely paraben free and has been developed using active plant extracts which have been approved by Royal Botanical Gardens, Kew. You’re getting a brilliant product that has been carefully created to make sure that it works for your skin, the ingredients inside are proven to work.

The Rosewater Toning Spritz smells lovely, obviously it has a rose scent but it’s not too overpowering and the scent doesn’t linger around. As you probably know, I’m not the biggest fan of rose-scented products but this is completely manageable. It’s also got a bit of a minty fragrance to it, that might just be me though.

The product is meant to be used as a toner, so applied to your face after you’ve cleansed to remove the last traces of your make-up. And it performs well in this capacity, I just spritz it all over my face and then wipe it off with a cotton pad when using the product in this way. The toner leaves the skin feeling revitalised and smooth, a perfect base for make-up. I have combination skin, more on the oily side though and this does a great job at balancing out the oiliness, I’ve also found that the product does not irritate any spots and I think it might help them actually.

More often than not though, I use the product as a refreshing facial spritz, as the product is in a spray bottle it’s perfect for this. When the weather has been warm I’ve kept this in my bag to mist all over my face when I’m overheating, it’s really cooling and refreshing and also sinks in quickly. You can spritz it over your make-up too and it doesn’t make it come off or anything, in fact I’ve even used the product as a make-up setting spray and it did a pretty good job.

I would definitely repurchase this product as it is so useful to have around, definitely a summer saviour!

At the moment the Botanics range is on offer and you can save 1/3 on this product making it only £3.33! Get down to Boots and pick it up!

  4. Ooooh, this sounds great. I'm only just getting into using toners having not really seen the point until I recently tried them and realised just how refreshing and amazing they can be! I'm currently in love with the LUSH Eau Roma Water which yours sounds similar to. I've always loved the botanics range so I'll have to give it a go as my next choice! Thank you for the review :) xo

  6. I have this and really like it. I never use a toner so use this as an alternative to that Mac + everyone is raving about spritzed over make up to refresh it. especially good in hot weather.

  10. I've been looking for a toner spray/face mist for setting make up so I might actually pick this up, I had The Body Shops vitamin e face mist on my list but this could be an alternative!
