KILLER COLOURS–Limited Edition Nail Polish

I have a brand new nail polish collection to tell you about today, Killer Colours have been inspired by catwalk trends to bring you the most up-to-date shades for your nails. Each capsule collection is limited edition and once they’ve gone they won’t be back again. The shades are all based on the latest trends in fashion, and the A/W collection does not disappoint! Lovely deep reds, vibrant cobalt blues, nudes and steely greys all feature.
The nail polishes are made in the UK and are ‘3 Free (no formaldehyde, toluene or DBP)’, they are salon approved and contain ingredients to make them highly pigmented, shiny and durable. They even contain special plasticisers which are supposed to stop nails chipping, cracking or flaking when they are bent!

I’ve had the blue shade, Belladonna, on my nails for a couple of days now and it still looks pretty much perfect – a little tiny chip on my thumbnail though. The colour was almost a jelly finish so quite sheer but 2 coats  made the shade completely opaque. The nail polish also has a lovely glossy finish – a random little girl came up to me in the street to tell me she loved my shiny, shiny blue nails and she wanted to know how I did it (beauty blogger in the making?).

I’ve only just applied the pale pink shade, Twisted Silk, to my nails but it is definitely a 2 or 3 coats shade – it applies very streaky with the first coat but looks much nicer on the second. Again, it has a lovely glossy finish and it seemed to dry a lot quicker than the blue shade.
There are three other shades available, Firewater, Gunmetal and Quicksand. Killer Colours have included really good descriptions of all the shades including the designer inspirations for them:
Twisted Silk. Icy cool. Super chic. A pretty, chalky pink as seen on That Coat at Jil Sander, neat and chic at Peter Pilotto and fingertips at Tom Ford and DSquared2. Firewater. Rich. Luscious. Beautiful. Berry. A red wine nail as seen at Christopher Kane, DVF and Dior, plus lips at Badgley Mischka, Nicole Farhi and Gucci. Belladonna. Vibrant. Lustrous. Beguiling. The soulmate to Chanel’s electric blue crystal eyebrow, also seen at Christian Dior, Miu Miu and Gucci. Gunmetal. Steely. Goth. Glam. A pewter grey as seen at Burberry, Alexander McQueen and Chanel, plus dramatic smoky lids at Costume National. Quicksand. Divine. Romantic. Neo nude. A chocolate-milk taupe as seen at Valentino, Giles and Miu Miu, as well as ‘new nude’ nails and eyes at Louis Vuitton.
The nail polishes are launched today and as they are limited edition they are expected to sell out quickly so if you like the sound of one of the shades make sure to go and snap it up before it’s too late! I would definitely recommend the Belladonna shade, it’s such a unique shade of cobalt blue.
You can buy them from the Killer Colours website for £9 with free P&P
