What’s in My Make-up Bag–The Train Make-up Edition

whats-in-my-train-makeup-case-2

If you follow me on Twitter you’ll probably know that I’m always popping down to London, or up to Preston on the train. When I go after work I have to do my make-up on the train, I try not to take bulky products as they’re heavy to carry around and I’m usually just touching up my make-up from before so no need for foundation/primer really. Thought this post might be interesting  if you’re a train make-upper too!

The make-up bag is from Japonesque and costs £15*, it’s really great for sticking in your handbag as it’s compact but can hold loads of stuff. There is a zip pocket and a normal pocket inside too which are handy for slipping small/important things in, I keep a retractable lip brush and some tissues in one of the pockets and a mirror and the make-up wipes in the other.

The contents of the bag are:

- Simple Face Wipes – handy for any mascara application disasters!

- Mini Clinique High Impact Mascara

- Topshop Cream Blush – No brush required!

- Mini Benetint and High Beam

- Lipcote

- Gosh Velvet Touch Eyeliner Pencil in Black Ink

- L’Occitane 100% Shea Butter – I use this as a lip balm

- No7 Concealer Stick

- Revlon Fire & Ice Lipstick

- Maybelline Dream Matte Powder

- Travalo holding Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb

- Superdrug Blotting Papers

I think I’ve got all the bases covered there, if I’m wearing a different lipstick I normally pop that in there too but I can always rely on red lippie if I’m in a pinch so the Revlon one lives in there. If I want to reapply foundation I decant some into a little sample pot and pop that in the bag too as well as a brush to apply it with, but I don’t normally need to do this.

Hope this post was interesting to some of you, any other train make-upper’s?

  1. Ahh it looks all cute when they are mini's! Love that perfume, I should really get a mini spray bottle but first I need to buy more perfume.

  2. I'm so bad when traveling(even on trains), I end up wasting so much space just by taking full sized makeup; but looks very handy you have these smaller versions! Great post :) x

  3. Loved this post!!! I'm always unsure of what to take with me in a situation like that =P I'm fortunate enough to have found the best eye primer (it works for me =P) and my eye make-up lasts pretty much all day without smudging or anything...But foundation and lippie is always something that I have to touch up...and always forget xD

Maybe if I go to the UK someday we can meet? =P Would have a blast shopping with you =D

    Have a great day!!

    1. I hardly ever touch up my make-up throughout the day as I can never be bothered, but if I'm sat on the train I do.

And yep if you come to the UK I'd love to meet you! xx

  4. You fit a good amount into your bag! I used to always arrive at one of my placements super early due to bus times so I always did my makeup there - I had to travel light as my bag was already too full haha! Xo

    1. I love High Beam! Such a pretty highlight shade, I use it on my cheekbones and browbone. Sometimes I mix a bit in with my foundation too to make it look a bit more radiant! xx
