I thought I’d do a quick hair tutorial for the style above, it’s perfect if you’re going for a vintage look this Valentine’s Day (or just in your general life!), I wore my hair like this yesterday and got loads of compliments on it. It’s sort of a sideways victory roll/quiff hybrid with a little pin curl for detail. I straightened the rest of my hair but it would also look fab with curled hair.
Step 1: Brush out your hair (I used the Tangle Teezer) and spritz with the ghd Straight & Smooth spray
Step 2: Part your hair on the side and take a section from the top of your ear to the part, back brush this section at the root to add volume.
Step 3: Take the section you’ve just back-brushed and pop a hair grip in the bottom, then roll this up (whichever way you roll will determine whether your quiff will roll back or forwards) and pin in place. Pin in the centre of your roll so the pins are mostly hidden.
Step 4: I like my quiff to start off small and get larger towards the edge of the roll so I like to pin one side down to get a nice cone shape – I also prefer the messy look that this gives. Once you’re happy give it a spritz with ghd Final Shine Spray.
Step 5: To add a bit more detail I added a little pin curl. Wind a small section around 2 fingers until you reach your head, then slip your fingers out and pin to your scalp. Try to hide the pins within your curl. Give this a spritz with the ghd Final Shine Spray too.
Step 6: Straighten the rest of your hair and you’re done!
I hope you enjoyed this tutorial and there are more ideas for hairstyles for special occasions on the ghd website.

This looks amazing! I always mean to do more exciting stuff with my hair but never bother - this tutorial is really good though so I'll give it a go at some point :) xx
