Hey everyone! My name's Albertine and I write the blog DippyWrites A week ago Amy and I decided to feature guest posts done by each other on our blogs. After discussing possible topics, we settled on both posting our top 5 spring products. Spring is definitely my second favourite season, straight after summer! The (slightly) warmer weather means a shift in fashion and makeup trends, from darker to lighter colours, which personally I think suit me more. I especially love using pastels on my nails again and wearing less coverage on my face. I also tend to experiment a bit more with my eye makeup, going for more colour instead of using neutrals all the time.
So anyways, lets crack on with my favourites!!
1. The Body Shop BB cream in shade 02- Recently I have really enjoyed using this instead of my normal foundation. It just gives a nice light coverage, and leaves the skin looking natural and dewy. I originally comes out as a white cream with grey dots in it, but when you apply it, it's colour changes.
2. Maybelline the falsies flared mascara-I've always loved having long volumous lashes, and I don't think I could survive without my mascara! This one is brilliant at lengthening an d volumising, and not a clump in sight! Two coats is all you need and it really does give your lashes a flared look.
3. Soap and Glory sexy mother pucker gloss stick in Fuscia-ristic-wow that's a long name for a product! Love this one because although it looks neon in the stick, it's actually a very sheer glossy fuscia colour on the lips, which feels really nourishing, perfect for when I want low fuss, minimal makeup.
4.Models Own nail polish in lilac dream-This is such a pretty shade and only take two coats to beocme fully opaque. The colour is actually a pretty good dupe for Essie's splash of grenadine, and it's around half the price!
5. The Body Shop blusher in Marshmallow-I bought this the same time I bought the BB cream and I have to say they work really well together. This blush is a really light pink colour, and if applied lightly, looks really natural on the cheeks.
I hope you've enjoyed reading about my favourite spring products. Amy has done a post on my blog over at DippyWrites so head on over if you want to find out what her top 5 spring picks were!
