La Collection de Grasse is L’Occitane’s latest fragrance collection, with a difference. For this collection L’Occitane have worked alongside top perfumer Karine Dubreuil who has previously created fragrance for Gucci and YSL. The collection is based around the wonderful town of Grasse in France where many of the delicate and rare flowers used in perfume are cultivated, these flowers are then combined with other scents from across the globe to create La Collection de Grasse. Each of the fragrances in the collection has been developed by Karine who was born and studied in Grasse.
Jasmin & Bergamote is quite a fresh scent that is perfect for every day, it has floral notes too which make it smell very grown up to me. Something a swish business woman would use, understated but still pretty.
Magnolia & Mûre is my second favourite scent in the collection, its quite a fruity berry based fragrance with a touch of Magnolia to give it something special. A sophisticated night time scent.
Vanille & Narcisse is a lovely rich vanilla based scent that has a spicy twist to it that adds great depth. It reminds me of the Tom Ford Tabac Vanille fragrance which is very, very pricey.
Thé Vert & Bigarade is my favourite fragrance from the collection. It’s a citrus-based scent that packs a punch, it’s so fresh and fruity and just makes me think of long summer afternoons in the sunshine when I smell it.
