Friday’s Face #2

Face of the Day MAC makeup tutorial

Friday’s Face #2

Hello again, I’ve returned for week 2 of ‘Friday’s Face’ – here’s what was on my face yesterday. I was feeling all bronzey and glowy when I did my make-up, I think it was looking at the grey skies that did it – made me wish it was sunny again. This makeup is probably one of my favourites looks that I have in my arsenal, I love a bronzed eye with a coral lip, the dewy natural skin ties it all together perfectly.

On the eyes I used the Maybelline Color Tattoo in On and On Bronze as a base, I applied once and blended with my finger and then repeated this twice more. I wanted a super shimmery bronze eye look today, I love the Color Tattoos – they blend so easily I didn’t even need to use a brush for this step. I then applied a bit of the Bourjois Little Round Pot Lights in 01 to the inner corner of my eye and my brow bone as a highlight, I used a fluffy brush to blend this in. I then took a small angled brush and dipped it into the Color Tattoo and then applied this along my lower lashline, again I applied quite a lot of this. For mascara I applied 2 coats of Barry M’s Lash Vegas to my top and bottom lashes, I love this mascara it’s so lengthening and you can layer it up without clumping. I left my brows untouched because I’m a rebel and accidentally left my eyebrow pencil at my boyfriends house.

The base I used was my trusty Dr Jart Regenerating BB Cream, I seriously love the stuff, as it gives a nice healthy glow to the skin and it has pretty amazing coverage for a BB Cream. On my cheeks I used a favourite combination of mine, I applied MAC Melba blush first and then topped it off with a coat of Benefit Coralista. This combo is perfect for us pale ladies as it gives a nice bright pop to the skin without being a typical pink shade, the peachy coral is super flattering too. On the lips I applied Benefit Cha Cha Tint, it takes a few layers of this to make it opaque but it’s such a gorgeous colour when it is that I don’t mind the hassle of that.

  3. This is really pretty! I used peachy/coral blush for most of the summer, but now I'm back to pinks. You're right though, peachy cheeks look great on us pale girls. Your skin is so flawless and nice :)
