I use a hair mask every time I wash my hair, I find that using one in place of a conditioner works best for my hair type. I wash my hair about three times a week so I tend to get through products really quickly. When I saw the new Essence Ultime range from Schwarzkopf I was intrigued, I never buy Schwarzkopf products – occasionally the hair dye but not often. The range was developed with Claudia Schiffer and includes shampoo, conditioner, masks, and oils to target key concerns with hair. I chose the line that is catered to damaged hair as my hair is looking a bit dry and tired lately.
The Omega Repair Intensive Mask promises to repair damaged hair cells from within and to reduce split ends by 95%. The product contains a combination of pearl essence, panthenol, refined protein and keratin to keep your hair in check. They suggest applying the mask to damp hair for 1 minute and to use it regularly.
I’ve used the mask for the past couple of weeks and I am very impressed, it makes my hair feel smooth and silky for a couple of days after washing. It smells really nice once it’s applied to the hair, it has a slight cocoa butter scent I think. You only need to use a little bit of product as it does spread evenly on the hair so this 200ml tub should last at least a month. I’ve found with some masks that if you don’t wash them out thoroughly you get a residue on the scalp which feels gross; but this mask washes out very easily and leaves the hair feeling weightless.
I will definitely be repurchasing this mask and I will be purchasing the shampoo to go with it once I’ve run out of my current one.
Have you tried the Essence Ultime line yet?
