Money: Spending Ban Summary

So it’s March now which means I’m allowed to spend some money again, I got paid on Friday and spent quite a lot. Oops. Always the way, every single month. I am now back on the wagon. I was quite pleased with how I managed to spend most of February penniless and didn’t miss buying things that much. I am going to give it another go this month, I need to make sure I have some money left at the end of the month as I won’t be getting paid as much as I usually do due to a change in job.

I have lots of birthdays coming up in March and April and it’s Mother’s Day so I don’t really have a lot of spare cash to spend on myself. I will be trying to sort out everyone’s gifts with this month’s wages so that I don’t feel the pinch even more next month.

I would like to thank you all again for the supportive comments on my Money posts, I am starting to change my habits for the better because of you!

Will anyone be joining me on a Spending Ban in March?

  1. I am trying so hard at the moment not to spend as I'm moving house in August and going on holiday in September. I have started finding things I want to buy and then putting the amount they cost into my savings to show myself how much I waste. It's horrifying but effective!!

  2. I think as time goes on, it does get easier. I had to do it to save up a deposit for a house and after a while you tend not to miss it, good luck! xx

  3. I'm seriously considering doing a Lent spending ban.
