Wedding Wednesday: The Engagement Party

Engagement Tea Party – Saturday 19th September 2015 Last Saturday we held our engagement party at our house, we spent the day with around ...

bareMinerals bareSkin Foundation

BareSkin Foundation - £26*

Perfecting Face Brush - £24*

The bareSkin Pure Brightening Serum Foundation is the newest foundation from the guys at bareMinerals, it is their first mineral foundation and skincare serum in one and what a duo it is.

This is a foundation like no other I’ve used before, it is very thin and almost like water in texture but more silky. The foundation is to be used in combination with the new Perfecting Face Brush and you just add a couple of drops into the middle of brush and buff it into the skin in circular motions. The more drops you add the more coverage you get, but don’t add more than 6 as you’ll have too much foundation then – I usually use 4 or 5 drops to cover my blemishes. This creates a flawless appearance on the skin and it really does even out skin tone and blur any imperfections. bareMinerals suggests that you shake the foundation vigorously before using it as the ingredients separate whilst it’s not being used.

Once it’s applied it gives a healthy glow to your complexion, you look a lot more alive without the appearance of a thick, cakey foundation. You can hardly feel it on your skin once it’s applied and I haven’t noticed any transferring onto my clothes or any melting throughout the day. I’ve never used a foundation like this before, it makes it look like you have amazing skin even if you don’t! I should mention that I found it better to apply another layer of the foundation over any blemishes rather than applying a separate concealer, as you can see in the image below the concealer I used on my chin has caked a little with the foundation.

The foundation comes in 20 shades to suit a range of skin tones, I use the lightest shade Bare Porcelain and it’s a perfect match for my skin, it blends in seamlessly. There are not many foundations that match my pale face so I was very impressed with this.

The bareSkin foundation has a pretty unique formula; it contains a brightening serum, jojoba coated mineral pigments, lilac plant stem cells, vitamin C and a non-chemical SPF of 20. It’s also hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic. These ingredients work together to give the appearance of amazing skin whilst actually helping your skin improve.

I will be wearing this foundation for the foreseeable future, I can’t imagine not wearing it now that I’ve tried it – it’s kind of addictive seeing your skin look so good!

The bareMinerals bareSkin foundation is launched in stores today and has been available on the website for a couple of weeks now. I would definitely recommend going to get a sample from a counter as I think you will love it!

Will you be trying out bareSkin?

  1. I've been using the Bare Mineral powders for a while and love them so I can't wait to try this! Wish it was half the price, though!
